Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD is characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (or obsessions) that create significant discomfort, doubt and anxiety.  Obsessions often target the things that matter most, leading to compulsive, safety-seeking behaviors in an attempt to alleviate the distress and uncertainty.

Anxiety

Feeling anxious from time to time is a normal part of life and can even be helpful. It can serve as motivation, prepare you for challenges, and sometimes improve performance. However, when anxiety becomes overwhelming, constant or begins to interfere with daily life, it can lead to bigger problems.

Post -Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

PTSD can develop after experiencing or witnessing  a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, accident, or violence. PTSD can cause symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and emotional numbness. It may lead to feeling constantly on edge, avoiding reminders of the trauma or having difficulty with trust. These effects can disrupt daily life, but with treatment, it’s possible to manage symptoms and live a meaningful life.
